Last night we wrapped up our journey through the seven episodes of A World Unbroken. Create - Broken - Promise - Presence - Satisfied - Mission - Restored… it all tells the Story of God, from beginning to end.

So we looked at the end last night, Restored.
We focused on this beautiful picture of God coming to dwell with humans:
Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth. The first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven, from God, prepared like a bride dressed up for her husband. I head a loud voice from the throne, and this is what it said: “Look! God has come to dwell with humans! He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them and will be their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or weeping or pain anymore, since the first things have passed away. - Revelation 21:1-4
God created this world with a dream - a dream filled with love. And now that the world is full of brokenness and sin and pain and death (and still beauty and love and hope and goodness), God is dreaming of a world that will be restored to its intended wholeness.
One day, God will come to live among his people, and all will be made right. All of creation will be redeemed, renewed, and restored. And, as we talked about last week during the Mission episode, we are called to work with God in the restoration of this world.
Summary statement: In the midst of the brokenness in our lives and world, we live in the hope that one day everything will be made right, restored, and whole again.
God, may we be who you created us to be and live in the hope of a restored creation.
